How to Pay with Cryptocurrencies on Carmoody

 

At Carmoody, we’ve made it easy and secure for you to complete your purchase using cryptocurrencies through BitPay. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth checkout process.

1. Generating a BitPay Invoice

When you select BitPay as your payment method at checkout, you’ll be redirected to a BitPay invoice. If you're using the BitPay app to purchase gift cards, load the BitPay Card, or pay bills via BillPay, the invoice will be generated within the app.

Depending on the transaction, you may be required to sign up or log in to complete BitPay’s ID verification (KYC).

2. Selecting Your Wallet and Cryptocurrency

BitPay supports over 100 cryptocurrency wallets, including major options like Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, and many more.

✅ Step 1: On the BitPay invoice, search for your wallet provider. If you don’t see your wallet, try WalletConnect to link your supported wallet.

✅ Step 2: Select the cryptocurrency you want to use for payment. If a certain cryptocurrency isn’t available, it may not be supported by BitPay, or your wallet may lack the necessary funds.

3. Choosing a Payment Method

There are multiple ways to send your payment:

  • Scan the QR code with your crypto wallet for an instant transaction.
  • Copy and paste the payment URL into your wallet’s "Send" or "Pay" section.
  • Use WalletConnect to autofill invoice details with a linked wallet.

🔴 Important: If sending a manual peer-to-peer payment, ensure you copy the exact invoice amount and payment address into your wallet. Incorrect payments will not be accepted and require a refund.

4. Submitting Your Payment & Confirmation

After submitting your payment, wait for blockchain confirmation. This may take a few minutes, depending on network congestion.

✔️ Once confirmed, your BitPay Invoice will be marked as "Paid".
✔️ Carmoody will process your order, and you’ll receive a confirmation email.

Tips for a Smooth Crypto Payment Experience

✔️ Use a Payment Protocol-supported wallet (e.g., BitPay Wallet) for accurate payment amounts and fees.
✔️ Enter a valid email address to receive updates and handle refunds if needed.
